It is no longer slightly as sharp as my 24-70mm f/2.8, when vast open, however when ceaseped down one cease, it is tach sharp. It can be much lighter which helps quite a bit at a long experience, and that it has more attain, making it great for events and receptions.

It's supposed for full-frame digicams, but it certainly works on DX as smartly (though I am now not sure 36 - 128 is a useful lens on DX). On my D700 for example, it is a authentic 24 broad to 85 zoom.
The lens is fast and sharp. It renders colors neatly. I do to find some lens flare apparent without a standard UV filter -- buy one. A tiffen UV filter, as an instance, will set you back 20 dollars, and that is value it. Note that the lens hood on this lens is just about unnecessary. It does not stay latched, and that is more bother than it's value.
